We had a wonderful stay at Ty Gwynn in Tanygrisiau. Our purpose was to enjoy a relaxing break and explore the beautiful surroundings. Everything was excellent, from the well-equipped kitchen to the cozy atmosphere created by the two fireplaces. The attention to detail was impressive, with milk in the fridge, chocolate biscuits in the jar, and a wealth of local information provided. The property was also very dog-friendly, with thoughtful touches like a stair gate and dog towels. Despite the rainy weather, the heating kept us dry and comfortable. The location was perfect, just a short walk away from the steam railway station, the lake, waterfalls, and a lovely café. it was a lovely, well-equipped, and dog-friendly getaway.
Recommend this hotel.

The room at Ty Gwynn was cozy and welcoming, giving off a warm and homely vibe. As someone who craves comfort and relaxation, I couldn't have asked for more.
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the bathroom with only a shower. It's just a personal preference, though, and others might still enjoy it.

The location of this holiday cottage was fantastic, with beautiful mountain views and easy access to hiking trails. the cottage itself was well-equipped and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We appreciated the attention to cleanliness and the cozy atmosphere created by the working fireplaces. the big garden was a nice bonus, perfect for relaxing outdoors.
A few aspects of our stay. the cleanliness of the cottage was not up to par, with dirty dishes left in the dishwasher and even a spider's web above the beds.

The care for cleanliness was evident, and the comfortable bed and cozy atmosphere made us feel right at home. The working fireplaces added a touch of warmth and charm. The location was perfect for mountain hiking, with easy access to the lake, waterfalls, and a café. The provided maps and local information were a great help. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches like milk in the fridge and chocolate biscuits in the jar. The availability of WiFi was a bonus, and the parking for two cars was convenient. Despite the rainy weather, the heating in the cottage kept us dry and comfortable. we highly recommend Ty Gwynn for a relaxing and enjoyable break.
We did experience a poor mobile phone signal, but that was to be expected in the hills. The stair gate was a bit tricky to figure out, but it served its purpose in keeping our dog downstairs.
